Whangarei Garden Discovery presents: Whangarei Discovery, an event to showcase the top gardens and garden art in the subtropical climate of Whangarei District of Northland, New Zealand.

The event is held every two years -- the next dates are:

MARCH 7-9 2008

• Self-drive trails: Friday March 7 and Saturday March 8 only....Grab some friends and drive around our selection of more than 30 private gardens. Trails include Bream Bay, Volcanic Country and Kamo-Kauri.
  
• Sculpture and Garden Art Exhibition March 7, 8 and 9 at the subtropical Whangarei Quarry Gardens, our headquarters for the event. Discover works by top Northland artists in the spectacular setting of the former quarry. You will find subtropical plants, garden and landscape experts, music and refreshments, weaving workshops, children's competitions and much more. Eftpos available.
  
• Big Garden Day Out bus tours: Discover private gardens, subtropical plants and learn from experts on board. Tours include refreshments. Landscape gardeners share their secrets with you on the Blue Coastal trail.
• Different programme each day.
